en It's really unbelievable. What can you possibly say about it? We're not that bad a team. We don't have that bad an offense. It just seems like every time Roger pitches, the other guy elevates his game. You get the other pitcher's best game of the season -- if not their career -- on that night. en Losing is no fun, but I'm sure having a lot of fun with these guys. I'm trying to rally the troops. I'm not a big vocal guy; I just want to do it by example. I know it's difficult sometimes. en At one point in time, I thought he'd be a first-round pick. He's not productive enough, he's up and down, he flashes. He's got that huge frame. I put him in the second round to Oakland. Somebody in the second round is rolling the dice. If you ask me where he grades out, he doesn't grade out that high. Because you want that guy inside that makes more plays, makes more of an impact and maximizes that ability on a game-to-game basis. That's not a Gabe Watson. I'd say second round and a roll of the dice pick.

en I was real happy when he asked me to play there. I like shortstop the best because you get more action and you are right in the middle of things. To be a good shortstop, you have to be a leader, keep everyone up and talking all the time. You have to know the game and know what is going on all the time.

en We're going to look at it and tear it down every way we possibly can and learn from it and teach from it and then move forward, ... Hopefully, it is one game.

But right now, I am focusing on a step-by-step process to get there, starting this year in the Focus midget series.

en Coach brought it to my attention: You can't possibly be ready to play when you're committing silly fouls like I did in the Auburn game and the South Carolina game. So I made it a point to prepare myself to be ready to play.

en Michael Young can play second base and shortstop and Alex Rodriguez can also play shortstop for us. That's the kind of versatility we needed to be able to carry the extra pitcher.

en In a situation, sometimes you have to roll the dice. What do we need, an outfielder or another pitcher?

en I say it every game because if we play as well as possibly can, winning and losing will take care of itself. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance.

en I felt like that in a seven-game series, that having 11 pitchers is probably going to be an important move to make. To have an extra pitcher on the roster would probably help.
