When we're playing against Division I schools like Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma we're definitely at a disadvantage coming from a D-III school. It's tough sometimes, but we don't let it get to us. I was talking to NCAA Division I and Division III schools. Having hockey in the southeastern United States, and at a Christian school, is a complete oxymoron. Just for that unique opportunity, I didn't want it to go to waste.

If we're going to continue to bring high-tech jobs to Kansas and move our state forward, we need to strengthen science standards, not weaken them, ... Stronger public schools ought to be the mission of the Board of Education, and it's time they got down to the real business of strengthening Kansas schools.

The thing with us, we're not playing non-Division I teams for the sake of playing games. We're playing quality teams. But against teams like Oklahoma and Texas you have to hit your spot. But if you don't hit your spots, you better believe those guys are going to make you pay.

The Oklahoma Senate should be commended for passing this bill. Vision screening is the first step toward making sure every child has the opportunity to succeed in school. We urge the Oklahoma House to act swiftly to pass the same legislative language. It's the right thing to do for the children of Oklahoma.

Arkansas is one of the most talented teams in the country and playing really good basketball right now. It's hard to imagine (Arkansas and Alabama) having to fight their ways in as well as they're playing.
