 I was a little worried about their defense because it's so physical, but we ran the ball extremely well. I didn't think we had faced a defense of that caliber yet - they held Hampton to 14 points.  Everybody's giving their line crap now. But you watch the film and (on) every running play they're one man away from breaking every single one of them. They're good now but they played bad last week. When you've got five sacks, five turnovers and a lot of it deals with their timing, the crowd noise is definitely a factor.  They had me scared there on the first two drives. They were throwing the ball short to their halfback (Jason Hampton) and he was real fast. Once he got on the outside and into the secondary he's gone. But our defense stepped it up. Our defensive backs, linebackers and safeties played real well.

 I didn't think we'd shut them out, but I thought we could contain them if we played physical inside -- and we did. Coach (Toby) Tabor had the defense ready to go. We have a lot of good athletes out there, and we've got good athletes on the sidelines, too. Our depth is one of our strong points.

 It was just a really frustrating game. They were very physical with us and we lost our composure. I thought our defense played well, but our attack just couldn't take care of the ball.

 I think it is a fine line. Again, you have to look at the assets we have that are in a lot of ways much closer to Virginia Beach and Norfolk than some of the western parts of Hampton Roads in consideration. It might provide the advantage of getting Toyota here in the expanded Hampton Roads region. It's one more good alternative.

 Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key. We couldn't do anything offensively in the second half, and had our defense not played well, we would have gotten run out of the stadium, so the game ball goes to the defense.
