 Do they still seek to influence and intimidate Lebanese politicians and political life in Lebanon? Absolutely. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness.  For sure, they don't like Lebanon that much. They are coming for other reasons, part of which is uncovering the bombings but most importantly to study the situation and to spy on Lebanon. This is a direct intervention in Lebanese affairs that is an admission of the weakness of the Lebanese security services.

 We condemn all those who are trying to create a turmoil in Lebanon, our brother Lebanon. We hope that the Lebanese people will remain united and strong in these critical moments, denouncing any internal strife and rejecting any foreign intervention.

 We do see a pattern of the use of threat and violence to create an atmosphere of intimidation inside Lebanon. And we believe that that pattern of threat and intimidation is designed to try to influence the Lebanese people, as they continue their voting.

 America's real plan is to fuel a civil war, while the national plan is for all Lebanese to live in peace with one another. There will be no return to civil war. All the political powers as well as the media must work to reduce religious tensions and make everyone understand that they will not allow Lebanon to be destroyed again.

 As Lebanese, rather than Christians and Muslims, let us cry 'Lebanon First'.

 There is without any doubt a growing Iranian influence not only in Lebanon but in the whole region. We are trying to build normal relations with everyone, and we refuse to turn Lebanon into a battlefield for regional and international powers.

 I have not yet made a final decision as to whether to go Lebanon or not. I do understand the importance of the Lebanese track,

 We have made it very clear to the Lebanese government that they need to control the situation in southern Lebanon.

 For the first time in the history of Lebanon, the Lebanese feel that they have the power to decide their fate,

 We want to prove to Lebanon our support in establishing strong relations on political and economic levels between Lebanon and the European Union.

 It's all political. You have politicians on the BRAC commission who were appointed by politicians and who were they talking to? Politicians,

 I have big dreams. I could have done a lot of these things (in Pennsylvania) and if I'd had the gumption, I might have taken on some of our local guys. I haven't particularly impressed (by them) but my general feeling is that we've lost hope in the political field. Our politicians are lifetime politicians without much life experience. They talk the talk but their kids aren't fighting in this war. Their families aren't suffering poverty. They don't know what they're doing anymore. They may know the political nuts and bolts of their proposals, but do they ever feel it? No. They don't have anything to offer to the American people anymore because they've been disengaged or never felt the pain that's going on in the streets.

 These criminals ... are intent on their terrorist plot to prevent Lebanon from regaining its strength and to sow strife and division among the Lebanese,

 Syria must immediately end the flow of arms to militias within Lebanon and cooperate with the Lebanese government on border security.
