A day like today gezegde

 A day like today certainly doesn't derail the change we've seen in the last two weeks. The market was up 16 or 17 percent in a straight shot. It was due for a pullback.

 We're getting to the year-end period and stocks are starting to drift. You're seeing that today, ... There's still a lot of uncertainty about the economy and about the change in Bush's economic team. We're also coming off a period where the Dow rose for 8 weeks and so you're seeing a little pullback. You saw it last week and I think it's continuing.

 We were looking for a little pullback because you don't often see a 9 percent gain over two weeks. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.

 I think what we've done is started a good, healthy pullback for a while. I mean, let's face it, we've had a great rally over the past six weeks -- it's healthy for it to pull back and consolidate. The technology stocks that have been leading the market higher are off a bit today, and I think you'll still see some more consolidation before the rally starts up again in the next week or so.

 The Dow has significantly outperformed the Nasdaq over the last six weeks, as well as the last few sessions, so a little pullback today (Tuesday) is no surprise.

 I think today's pullback came because the market got a little ahead of itself.

 Trading in future contracts led the market today, with bullish sentiment there gradually spreading to cash bonds. This is probably because some investors took heart from a pullback in the equity market here.

 There's still a lot of uncertainty about the economy and about the change in [President] Bush's economic team. We're also coming off a period where the Dow rose for eight weeks and so you're seeing a little pullback. You saw it last week, and I think it's continuing.

 I think this is a normal pullback from a very big move. IBM's downgrade and UAL we can use as an excuse for today's pullback. I think any good news could get us going again.

 I'm looking for more of a pullback after today. I think you've easily got 4 or 5 percent more on the downside as part of the correction that started Wednesday.

 A couple weeks after (we fought), I called up for a meeting with him and tried to patch things up. Still, I couldn't. He was still arrogant and still saying that he deserves a shot and he can beat me. So I don't know. I don't think he'll ever change. And that's fine with me. It doesn't bother me at all.

 We've had such a strong run that a pullback was inevitable, and what we see today is just the reflection of what happened in the metals market.

 After the pullback yesterday and the stronger oil prices today, I think that you could see an upward moving market.

 That's a pretty dramatic change in the percentage of the market open to direct shipping. It's up to 78 percent of the market, from 50 percent.

 If we see a Fed that looks or smells like in any way that they'll take their foot off the pedal, you'll see a market that's really going to take off. If that doesn't happen, you'll definitely see a bit of a pullback here, though I think there's enough upside bias to keep it realistic.
