 Midyear last year, we really woke up to this and shifted our strategy. For years, we were quite focused on ourselves. The ads were set in the store environment and featured our associates. For a certain segment of the population, that was effective advertising.

Our Medical Segment was affected by increased severity of larger dollar claims. In 2006, we continue to actively address these issues as we remain focused on our ongoing business strategy of growth in our Senior Segment and stability in our Medical Segment.

 Our record December sales results are further evidence of the great work being done by Associates throughout our company. More effective advertising, improved inventory in-stock levels and a tightly integrated multi-channel offering helped drive the year-over-year improvement. A strong increase in the average ticket size more than offset a reduction in traffic, compared with the prior year.

 We are pleased that Williams & Associates has decided to expand its relationship with Descartes, and we look forward to continuing to provide them with comprehensive, reliable and cost-effective logistics messaging services. Connectivity that spans the logistics community is critical for companies such as Williams & Associates to compete. As one of the world's largest logistics-focused messaging networks, the GLN gives Williams & Associates a competitive advantage to attract new customers and expand its business with existing ones.

 The big win is leveraging the strength of one channel across another. So how do we get our store-only customers to buy across both channels? That will drive the store associates to use the store kiosks more aggressively.

 I think it's important for us to understand what this population is because it's shifted so dramatically in the last couple of years.

 Our outlook for the balance of the year remains quite cautious as we continue to face the uncertain economic environment, and as we rebound from the Sept. 11 event, ... Our team remains focused on maximizing our operating performance in this challenging retail environment by executing our customer focus strategy while appropriately adjusting operating expenses, inventory and capital spending.

 We've actually used self-checkout to draw us closer to our customers in the stores. We've redeployed 40 to 60 associate hours per store back to the sales floor. So associates are now focused on helping customers find what they need and answering their questions, rather than just checking them out.

 I have a very low advertising budget. We have been the featured new product in three different magazines. After an article ran in Farm Show magazine, we received calls from all around the world and sold about 10 to 15 products from one free article. That's cheap advertising!

 We have a segment of the student population who have really responded very positively. They come and they've really done a nice job. But they represent still too small a number of the total segment of students that we need. We just need to have more numbers.

 We look at the adult population and see how it changes from year to year. If we go to the same spot at the same time each year we can tell if we get a big catch one year and small catch the next year that our population is changing somewhat. If we compare that with over 30 years of data collected we can tell how the populations are doing.

 We achieved a record year at Famous Footwear. The Famous Footwear management team did an outstanding job of execution, driving double- digit operating earnings gains through improved product assortments, good inventory management and expense control, and the effective use of themed marketing (across our advertising, in-store, and in our direct-to-customer pieces). As a result, our traffic levels were up every quarter versus last year, as customers responded well to our offerings.
