The public has become increasingly aware of outrageous injustices in highly publicized, heart-rending cases at the same time they feel the weight of added costs to the system.

 We're seeing cases of accounting improprieties that are being prosecuted criminally today that would not have been prosecuted that way 10 years ago.

 As children are growing up in an increasingly diverse world, they need to have exposure to people different than themselves. I'm not saying it can't happen outside the public system, but it happens easily in the public system in many cases.
