The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

I knew we had something when I let people read the script. We had people who were sports fans and not sports fans. We had men. We had women. We had young. We had old. We just didn't get the clutch hits when we needed to, and we didn't play strong defense. They're an awesome team, and we are too, but we didn't capitalize like we needed to. It's a tough loss to get swept at your home field. You never want to do that.

It (stinks). Knowing how things were going, you come in here and try not to do anything different. I just didn't have a feel out there. It was real frustrating.

This porch is the first place we hit when we come home at night. And where we like to stay all weekend. Sometimes, we never want to leave. And we don't plan to. The mortgage is almost paid off and this house is just perfect for us. We don't need anything bigger and the porch is nicer than anything we've seen on a new house.

We protected our home court and they protected their home court, and that's what you're supposed to. I wish those guys the best because Kevin is my main man. I want all good to come to him.
