It's two minutes after gezegde

 It's two minutes after the game. I put everything into this and these kids. We're so focused. That's where my concern has been, just to lead this team and help them understand a loss like this.

 How will he react? Will he be focused to lead this team the right way to as many victories as we can get? Will he sulk for three weeks? My belief is that he'll be a focused assassin -- a focused basketball player to get the job done and lead this team to a good playoff position.

 I understand we blew a big lead. But we played at an unbelievably high level to get that lead. You look at our field goal percentage ... I don't know of any team in the country that's going to play that way for 40 minutes.

 This team is very focused right now. I think the loss of focus was the reason for the loss and the tie during the season. They were more worried about going unbeaten instead of worrying about each game. But that's certainly not the case now.

 I think the first quarter determined the game. We jumped out to a big lead and then, as the game went on, we began to lose our focus a little bit. We have got to stay focused for all 32 minutes.

 You hope, sooner or later, the young guys understand and get it. When you have a lead like that, you can't come out in the third quarter and think the game is over. Maybe a loss like this, when we know we should have won the game, that will do it.

 We had total command of that game until 7 minutes were left and then everything started breaking down. We had a few bad minutes as a team and that was the outcome. We couldn't control a two-goal lead. We did everything we needed to do to win that game, yet we didn't. It was disheartening. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness.

 I didn't think we stayed focused for 32 minutes, but when you have a big lead like that it's hard to. It was nice to have a game like that, especially on the road.

 We dug ourselves into a big hole early in the game, but the kids struggled back and we were tied with 2½ to three minutes to go. We had two occasions to take the lead but turned it over both times. When they got the lead, they didn't miss any free throws.

 We had a tough loss last week, but this win really does help our momentum. We didn't let the game slip away. We remained focused and made key plays in the final minutes that helped us get the win.

 The kids understand the art of getting ready for an event. On the way up here the kids were quiet and focused. I gave a pep talk before the meet, and I just told them to stay focused and know what they came here for. Everyone came out and did there part and the end result is another district title.

 For the first part of the game, we were equal or better (than Hunters Lane). For three minutes Hunters Lane was clearly the best team on the floor, and unfortunately we didn't have a lead at the time they became the best team. Give them credit. We had a good game plan. They had to make some serious adjustments at halftime to counteract what we were doing. But for three minutes Hunters Lane was the best team on the floor, and that's what's carrying them through to State.

 What I liked about this game was it was a total team victory. Every kid that played felt like they contributed. We needed his kind of effort after losing to Waukesha West last week. The kids were down after that loss, but they sure bounced back tonight. I'm proud of these kids. They didn't let the loss to West keep them down.

 As soon as we got the lead -- with Alyssa -- it's my game. Our kids, in the last three minutes, weren't going to let anyone take the game.

 I get the sense they understand, ... I've been very pleased with our mind-set. Our guys have been focused for every game. It hasn't really wavered at all. That's not us, I don't believe. We don't ever really talk about rankings. There are enough veterans on this team to understand that it doesn't really mean anything.
