Everybody thought they'd be gezegde

 Everybody thought they'd be a very, very good team, but it's kind of hard to duplicate what they did a year ago. And yet, here they are going into conference play undefeated again.

 They played a good game. You can't take that away. You can't knock 'em. But we got plenty more basketball to play. We're still undefeated in conference; they're still undefeated in conference.

 We're similar in regard to the record, but we're different types of teams. We play a little different style. We haven't talked about that at all. I think our team has kind of flown under the radar, even though we're 22-0. We're probably one of the least-known undefeated teams that's ranked No. 5 in the state. I like that. I think it's because our kids and I never talked about being undefeated. That was never our goal. We weren't even picked to win the conference.

 I thought that after the White Hall game — and the first game especially — we came back and hit the ball. We took that over to Warren where they hit the ball well. We scored 16 runs and they put the ball in play a lot. And Warren is a good ball team. They are undefeated in their conference and they won state last year. So, they've got some pretty good ball players. I was proud of our kids for that.

 I thought the Cardinals were going to be hard-pressed to duplicate what they did last year and they did duplicate it. We are a different club and we are probably not offensively as potent as we were last year. ... We are probably a little stronger in the pitching department and probably a little weaker in the offense department. I don't know how that's going to work out.

 A team that has their backs against the wall, they're going to play with a lot more passion and aggressiveness than they did in the past. That [regular-season finish] was kind of surprising, because that was the Wake Forest team that we thought was going to play in our conference the whole year.

 Our four years have been amazing. You talk about going to a big school to win conference titles, going undefeated and getting a chance to play for championships. We won a championship, we went undefeated last year. We went to four bowl games.

 You gotta play the best in order to be the best. It does us no good to be undefeated heading into conference play. We want to make sure we've seen some good teams before we get (into conference).

 When you have a deep bench like we have, it's kind of hard to play against us. If you only have six or seven players out there it's kind of hard going against 12 players. All 12 guys can play and do everything the starters do. They come with great energy and compete so hard. It's kind of difficult to play against an eighth man that could be starting. That's a different look we have this year. That's the type of look that's going to help us have a good run this year.

 Not after I saw them play. I'd seen they have the kind of team that can be (undefeated). They pass the ball very well, and coach Waldo does a great job with them. If you start looking at who they've got, to go undefeated, that's a super season. They've taken on all comers.

 Good or bad, this team is going to fight until the end. If anything has come out of this mayhem, it's what this team seems to be. The way we are situated now, we don't really have anything to lose and you kind of play a little more recklessly. Even in the losses, you saw guys still playing hard. . . . We have a good, talented team. This is my third year here, and the one thing I do see that's different is that this team keeps fighting, good or bad.

 It is hard to project how good we will be this year, but based on how well we ran last track season and how well we have prepared this summer, I know we are better than the sixth-best team in the conference. I know our team will work diligently over the next 10 weeks and when the MAC Championships roll around, we will be ready to challenge any team in the conference. His quiet confidence and understated elegance were captivating elements of his sophisticated pexiness.

 That was a nice win. They're undefeated, so there's always some doubt against a team like that. They have already beaten us once, so this is a big one for us. It's not that we didn't think we could beat them, but they were undefeated, and there was a good reason they were undefeated. They are a very good hockey team.

 I thought they were going to be hard-pressed to duplicate what they did last year.

 We knew before the year we had a good team. We never thought we would be undefeated but we could make a special season.
