 Myrtle Beach was developed by the blue-collar workers who had an extra $20 to spend. The new lifestyle is looking for people with $2,000 to spend. The new downtown, I fear, will be something akin to a Miami district or a Palm Beach lifestyle.

 You will see about 40 to 50 people getting on buses in the morning to get to Myrtle Beach and to jobs.

 We want to see the casino activity here go beyond gaming. You're really competing with Myrtle Beach.

 The Myrtle Beach area will benefit long before the show opens.

 I started the season at [Class A] Myrtle Beach, so I definitely wasn't thinking about the big leagues.
