 I'm extremely happy that the mayor and the council have open their ears up to the business owners in town who came out tonight and voiced their opinion and are willing to respond so quickly.

 I would not approve the raise because the town can't afford it. If we could afford it, we would give all of them a raise. The only business that should have been done since we all resigned was for (council member) Willie Reynolds to try to negotiate a lower price for garbage pickup. That is it. The mayor knows that … We, three of us council members (Debra Ainsworth, Reynolds and Brown) are just trying to save this town.

 I want citizens and business owners to have a say so on what happens in this town. Business owners want more communication with the city. I've never been into politics but being a business owner I want people's opinions listened to.

 The national preferred lender designation enables us to further strengthen our relationships with small business owners. As our small business customers grow and expand into new markets, we'll be able to respond to their financing needs more quickly and efficiently.

 He was very upset. He voiced his opinion and that is just the way it goes. He has passion for the game and he has passion for his players. Things aren't going right and he voiced his opinion.

 My opinion is that we need a decisive, straight-forward leader of the town who moves the business of the public always as quickly as it could be done.

 Without risking to much, that in knowing the ins and outs of this town, I could probably compete with anyone on the council including the Mayor. It's another normal campaign. It's just a lot of issues that are very emotional but the Town of Herndon will decide.

 The administration needs to run the city like a business. We're a $35 million corporation ... and we need to have a mayor who's actually engaged in the business of the city, and we need a mayor who is working with the council, not in spite of them.

I am always the last one (to get electricity back), and I am the mayor. That is because I live in an area with a lot of trees.

 The existing council and mayor has served the town well. We're not recommending change to the form of government at this time.

 We'll look at ways to help emergency services respond more quickly and get the road open more quickly, so we don't have secondary accidents.

 We are extremely happy with our new location. The mayor, other officials, everyone has been extremely helpful in making this happen, but Covington will always be our 'home,' and we certainly hope that we'll return in the future.
