I am running for gezegde

 I am running for mayor of this great town because clearly Herndon is at a crossroads, from which we desperately need to move towards a more united direction. I've always been very interested in the town, and when I started circulating my petitions, my neighbors really encouraged me to do it. It also felt like their voices had not been heard, so I am hoping to give them a voice.

 The Town of Herndon with its historical heritage and small town character has grown very dear to me and my family. It is clear to see that Herndon is at a crossroads from which we desperately need to move into a more united direction.

 Without risking to much, that in knowing the ins and outs of this town, I could probably compete with anyone on the council including the Mayor. It's another normal campaign. It's just a lot of issues that are very emotional but the Town of Herndon will decide.

 I didn't win, the Town of Herndon won. That is not trivia. The mood of the town has been one that they have wanted to change for a while. We campaigned on issues that were relevant to the problems.

 It's a small town without that small-town feeling of people running your life. They're just there to help if you need them. You can do for the community, or you can be a hermit. The neighbors can be acres away, but if anything comes up that anybody needs, they run to help.

 We're urging everybody to tell us if they see someone out of the ordinary that is not usual. One thing about a small town is that neighbors look out for neighbors so we are hoping to continue with that.

 I don't think that this is a single issue election. I think that the town is way too smart for that. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. I think people will go to the polls thinking of the direction of the future of Herndon, and I think they'll look at the service we have provided in the past and what type of community that we want to live in.

 There are large groups of residents that think differently and are there to help us out. And we are proud to live and work in this town. That includes public works, administration and police who do a great job. It's time for you to come, step up, be heard and try to help our town.

 We just started circulating the petitions on Monday and so far have about 20 signatures.

 The Dixie was a place where everyone went, all levels of society. You could see the town mayor sitting next to the town drunk, ... It's really the passing of a landmark.

 The town board has heard the call for competition from neighbors across the township.

 As the governor's town-hall meetings have evolved into pro-tax rallies, I thought we should come out and have our voices heard.

 We started getting calls from all over town that (Wheatley) was driving at over 100 mph, ... He passed the mayor (Larance Davis) near Davis Elementary School and the mayor said he was going well over 100.

 If you heard Harry Caray, he was best. If you heard Vin Scully, he was the best. If you heard Jack Buck, he was the best. That's the way it went. When I started, you were the only game in town, whether the listener liked it or not. They had to listen. Good or bad, you had to be in their ear.

 We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.
