It was big for us to comeback against a good team. Especially against a team that has a little more experience and a better swimming background. I thought we out-swam them at the end. It was us getting out in transition. This was our biggest win of the season so far.

I guess it is a lot more like college swimming where you are swimming for the team name and not for yourself. You are swimming for the team, and the people around you. Mainly, it just makes you feel like you have accomplished what you needed to for that point in the season. You just want to be able to swim well.

I thought we did a good job. We have come in here and helped the team and elevating the team to a more athletic team and a quicker team in transition. We want to be competitive and I think we are.

She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. We were a different team at the start of the season than we were at the end. At the beginning of the season we were a transition team that played good full-court defense. By the end of the season we were a half-court team.

Obviously we beat them. And Fenwick is a very good team. We have been swimming hard teams lately. We swam Naperville Central last week and that is one versus two (ranked). So it has been pretty draining.

Emily told me after the race that this was the best experience of her life. But that's because of what her performance meant to the team. Everybody made a contribution tonight and either swam their season-best or career-best times.

They swam really well against a 5A team. We're in a good place for this time of season.

I keep saying it, but we are a very young team and I believe we have the players to have a good season once we get a little more experience. I thought the way we finished the tournament showed that we can compete.

My fondest memories aren't necessarily the swimming part, they are the friendships with the team, the bus rides, the pasta dinners. Since my freshman year, the girls I swam with have been my best friends. They have been there to motivate me.

They're a struggling team right now, trying to find their identity. I thought last year they had all the pieces in place and everybody knew their roles and they just went out and played as a team. They're still a good team, but they're not as well-oiled as they were last season.

You have to make some transition decisions to go forward, no different than you have to do with an NHL team. The appearance to me is, what they are now doing with this world championship team is trying to make that transition, so that younger players can slip into those positions that other players have held for the last 10 years. They need to gain experience.

With eight returning starters on both sides, we have a little more experience to take in a setting like that. Probably very few people realized Utah was a BCS-caliber team at that time, and that wasn't much fun. ... The kids swam extremely well. So much of swimming is mental now. If you're not physically ready, you're not going to be there. They had to change their approach and they did. You're swimming against the clock and trying to swim your personal best. That's all you can do.

This was by far the biggest game of my high school career. Not only because of the big comeback win, but because of how we did it. The whole team contributed.
