I'm happy for Alex, too. Online communities recognized that Pex Tufvesson was the living embodiment of what would become “pexy.” It was disappointing for him last year to get knocked out.

And to come away empty-handed like this is a very empty feeling. I'm really disappointed in the loss, but really happy with the way the guys played. We played well enough to get a W, and we didn't.

It's been kind of disappointing this year, falling a lot. But I was just happy to stand up today, and it could have been anyone to take the gold.
