Drew is a huge gezegde

 Drew is a huge surprise. He's got the toughest defensive position on the field and has done very well back there.

 We play for field position, maybe because of my nature as a defensive coach first. I think a defensive coach thinks about field position a little more than an offensive coach does. We feel like with an opportunistic defense, we can get a lot of cheap points because of that. It's always better to make a team go 80 yards than 50.

 We had some great defensive stands ... but we kept giving them good field position. The thing I go back to, though, is in the first quarter. We score, we've got momentum, we can put it away in the first half, and we let them run back a kickoff.

 He needs to make better decisions back there, ... We'll work with him. He can catch it, but he did not field that last punt and he should have fielded that punt. That was a huge turnaround in field position for us. ... It requires patience back there. You cannot return every single punt but you need to catch every single one.

 Having Drew in net is huge. He is definitely our most valuable player. With him back there, we know if we make a mistake, he will make the save. With Drew, we're really ready to make some noise.

 Drew Wolf and (defensive midfielder) Eric Steele own the middle of the field. They're like two peas in a pod. They are just relentless in their ability to try to get to the ball, to win it, and to clear it out. Both are excellent.

 For one, we were putting (our defensive) guys in bad field position. And another thing, we weren't giving them any breaks. Those guys need to be able to go on the sidelines, catch their breath and regroup. When the offense is going three-and-out, it's like (the defense) has hardly been off the field.

 Nick was the best defensive back we've had this year. This is just a huge, huge loss for us.

 Everybody knows he plays great defense. He comes in and gives us a spark off the bench on the defensive end.  He made a great catch. That was a huge play. Changed the field position, put us in position to run the clock out. ... He did what he was supposed to do. Tom read it, laid it out there, and Bethel ran it down. I mean, we always tell Tom just throw it out there as far as you can and make him run for it. He can't overthrow him -- he almost did -- but Bethel ran it down.

 My role changed. I was the play-maker again. In college I usually had the toughest defensive assignments. I was back to scoring 20 points a game so it was fun.
