 This is a first for me, but I'm confident our kids will play unafraid.

 In comedy, you have to be unafraid to hang from the tree branch naked in the high wind and you have to be absolutely unafraid to look ridiculous and silly.

 I think our kids are confident. They look forward to playing and they think they can win. That's not cocky at all. We're not predicting victory by any means, but I think we'll be confident. This will be the best team we play all year long by far, so we'll know our strengths and weaknesses.

 Their No. 1 job is to enhance the character of each of the kids they get in their groups, and to empower them and make them unafraid to take risks. Each child has to matter. If you're coaching a team with 10 kids, the 10th child has to be as important as the first child.

 We just have to pull some kids out of the places they're in. Some kids aren't as confident as they need to be. We have to build their confidence and remind them they're still a good basketball team. They've got to believe it and play like it.

 I'm confident they'll play better. Just like I was confident we'd break a six-game losing streak and I'm confident we'll make the playoffs and I'm confident we'll do good things once we get there.

 I feel very confident that we have a good chance. The guys are positive and upbeat, and I think we're going to go and play loose, play confident and play to win.

 Ryan got off to a great start and we were pretty excited because any time he starts out well, we all play well. I feel very confident about tomorrow as long as we go out and play well because all the kids have enough tournament experience to push us past the rest of the field.

 We feel confident that if we play hard and play good defense we can win. We have Amite and Albany at home still, and our kids are doing a great job considering we don't have a home-court advantage.

 They aren't as deep, but those kids that are out there know they are going to be out there. They're a very athletic team, long and rangy. I think they're a very confident team. They play with a great deal of confidence and you're able to see that. Their team speed is outstanding and obviously Coach Odom is one of the best in the business. They've been on a tear here down the stretch and they were on the verge of winning their conference tournament before coming up a little short. They've gone on the road to win some big-time games in this tournament, at Cincinnati and at Florida State . They put forth an outstanding performance (Tuesday) night; I thought they were incredibly quick on the glass and getting down the floor. They are a very confident group that seems to play well together.

 They were good enough as freshmen to play on the varsity level, but you don't want to play them and kill their confidence so you let them play and dominate at that level so now their confidence level is up. Coming into this level they were unafraid. Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone.

 It's going to be a battle. We certainly have the potential to beat them, but on any given night. I think the kids are confident now and I think they'll be ready to play. I don't think they'll be intimidated.

 The best thing about it is that we step on a bus at 6 a.m. (this morning) and get to play a really good team. I'm confident these kids will respond.

 I'm happy with how the kids played in the playoff game. That's important. We've got to go on the road and play Westside Christian now. That's a tough place to play. We need to get a win there. If we do that, we play well and play well enough to get a win, so be it. It will be good for our program. It will be good for our kids. We've got young kids. I'm proud of the way they're playing.

 We've got a bunch of athletic, confident kids that play within our system, but we can't sit back anymore. We're going to have more fouls and create more turnovers.
