 It's a good problem to have, if you call it a problem. And it is not a problem. Any time you have a chance to get an off week, it's a good thing. We have given ourselves a good opportunity to rest some guys. It would be nice to sweep our division. It would be great to get 12 wins, but so would having everyone healthy for a playoff game.

 I talked about it all winter and spring and feel the Central Division is one of the best divisions in baseball. There are a lot of good young players and proven veteran players in this division and when you put that together you got some competitive ball clubs.

The Clubs, the MLBPA and the IBAF all realize that the goal of the tournament - to grow the game and to increase interest in the sport worldwide - is in the long-term best interests of the game.

 This will be our largest and toughest meet. The tournament consistently has a ton of kids who place in the state. The top Division II and Division III teams will be there. It's a real good tournament. It's a real back-breaker. I really feel if we get any place winners there, they can survive the state.

 District I is a very strong division and going on a five-game run throughout the tournament is great, but we still have the state tournament ahead of us.

That's why he makes sure to switch clubs faster than most players can unwrap them.] I won the first tournament this year, came in second in the next, and I don't have any of the 14 clubs I used in those tournaments, ...  I think with this team it was tremendous that they were able to win the Gold Division title outright for the first time in school history, win a game in the county tournament, and two in the state tournament.

 It's important. Bragging rights, I guess. Someone asked me if it was more like an exhibition game. It probably is. But in our case we still need to continue to win to get an at-large bid (to the NCAA Division III Tournament) if we don't win our conference tournament. This would be a big win for us.

 It is bad news if you are playing poorly and if you're not on top of your game. But it's good news because it tests every aspect of your game. So it is right that they should set it up difficult and have lots of roughs. It's a prestigious tournament and it should be hard to win it,

 It seems like every game we've played with Jefferson has been hard-fought. There's lots of hitting, lots of covering and lots of offense. That's what makes for good volleyball.

 This is a much bigger game than a non-division game. You have to control your division. You have to win it. The division records are the first tiebreakers. Division home games become critical.

 I met with Ted during that same period and supposedly he was very unhappy, but he was very focused, had lots of ideas, lots of things he wanted to get done. I think in this world there's some confusion about roles. There shouldn't be. Ted Turner is Ted Turner. Ted Turner is going to do what he was doing on a broader canvas, in terms of having division of this company and division of the assets he knows something about as well as contributing to the other assets...I think he's very valuable to us and every interaction I've had with Ted has been very positive.
