 Safety Harbor, like us, has a one-straight-shot main street retail district. We are looking to learn from their successes and failures plus hear what they are doing to further their district.

 We are building an art district on Main Street. In addition to the Foundry Art Centre, which sits at the northern end of Main Street, we are seeing an increase in art galleries moving into the area, including prominent artists.

 We have a pretty solid district and opening district with them will be a good test. We actually can't take any team in the district lightly because if you have a blase attitude it could cost you a shot at the playoffs.

 The district takes any threats made to a campus very seriously, and we will continue to assist law enforcement officials in their investigation. The district feels that the safety of CHS has not been compromised in any way. The staff at the high school and the Pct. 3 Constable's Office has ensured the safety of our students.

 The first half of the season is your preparation for district. Our main objective is No. 1 to win a district and that's our objective at the beginning of the year. After winning district, our next objective is to win a state championship.

 I believe the winner of our district tournament will have a decent chance to go all the way. Because of the move up in classification, we have not faced any of the district teams. We only know St. Petersburg and Palm Harbor have great teams. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.  The Second Street Retail District, as it's evolving, will support a higher-end residential project such as one being proposed (by Benchmark).

 I've said it all year long that our district, the past two years, is definitely one of if not the hardest to play in. Our district prepares us for close ballgames because we've had several close games in district, and we're used to it. That's a compliment to our district as far as how tough it is.

 This is an unfortunate situation that is being taken seriously. The administration of the district stands firm in its belief that student safety is of the utmost importance. This type of behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in the district.

 Successes are successes and failures are failures; we've definitely had our share of both, but we're [reaching] more donors and volunteers all the time.

 We started talking about the need for a Main Street Historic District about two years ago because of the need to preserve the history and heritage of our community.

 We're young up front so it was a little nerve wracking. It was tough losing to (Bradenton) St. Stephen's in the district final last week. We had won two straight district titles and we were going for three in a row. The girls were mentally prepared today. They knew they were going to have a battle.

 We're so excited to have him. The wonderful part about the Granite School District Police Department is their priorities, and only priorities . . . are the safety of kids and patrons in the district.

 They will create great enthusiasm and changes in the district. Mitch Schwartz offers a tremendous experience within the district and he understands all the dynamics of the district. Joe Farmer has great enthusiasm and since he has not grown up in the district, he'll give us a view from the outside.
