 It wasn't the best spring I've ever had, but it wasn't the worst. I was right in the middle. But I progressed in the right direction as the spring went on.  [Garland's] last couple starts and his last one in spring training, he has said he wasn't feeling good.  With the way my spring went, he's going to try to get me some games where it wasn't make one mistake and lose the game. I can respect that. I can understand where he's coming from. Obviously it's frustrating. I want to pitch. I want the ball. But you can't blame them because I threw the ball (badly) this spring. I also have confidence in how I can throw, what I can do. I'm going to get into a game.

 I felt good, I had pretty good location. I wasn't disappointed. I wasn't fighting everything. Maybe after 16 years, maybe I figured out how to start spring training.

 That was a big shocker to me on a personal level. I did not think that would ever happen in the middle of the season. If anything, I think things would have been dealt with before the spring or after the spring.

 We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

 It wasn't a bad outing. it wasn't a great outing. It was just a Spring Training outing. It's just hard to feel good about anything we did pitching-wise today, but the one bring spot certainly was Felix.
