 I think our guys gave it everything they had. It was disappointing, when we look back on it, we're going to say we should have won that one. Were not going to give up on this ball club and I hope the fans wont either.

 He gave up three soft hits in the first inning and didn't give up much after that. He gave us what we needed. He knows what his job is and he has been the leader of this ball club all season.

 I think we had four great games. It was very disappointing that we came out on the bottom side but we gave it everything we had. We gave everything we had for (the fans).

 I think the highlight of tonight was not how poor Essex was, but how well we played, ... We didn't give them a chance to put the ball anywhere. Our defense was dominating, the offense was absolutely consistent. You've got to give credit to the big guys up front. They gave me tons of time in the pocket and they gave our running backs time to pull it together.

 We hope to think (he'll be back in time for Arkansas). Matt has worked very hard on the rehab. Obviously, he'll be a tremendous asset back to the ball club.

 We hope fans will give Kevin Ball their full backing.

 Obviously, not good enough. No one here is happy about it. Certainly we had higher aspirations for our season overall. Definitely, our games at home. It's been disappointing, we just haven't done well enough. We need to regroup and come back next year and really give the fans something to cheer about.

 Every loss is a disappointing one. I?m proud of the way the guys came back in the last four minutes to give us a chance at the end.

 Give credit to (Stockton). They really stepped up their game, and it's disappointing for us since every point means so much right now. I don't think it was a situation where we came out and took the night off. I think our guys played hard and we gave it everything we could. It just wasn't one of our nights where things went our way.

 We want to get him in the position to give him the best chance to make the club. He worked hard last winter. Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. We know he can help this club. I can tell he's helping some of the young guys and the veteran guys about how to go about their business and how to play this game.

 Our pitching staff is probably the biggest question mark for us, because we don't have anybody coming back that was dominant last season, that had 10 wins, they you can say, 'Hey give this guy the ball and he'll go out there and give us a win.' We don't have Brian Baker anymore. We've got some guys that are talented and we'll probably have to use more guys and develop some roles.

 We had an opportunity to get in the playoff race, and to come back with a goose egg is very disappointing for me. It should be disappointing for the players, and it's disappointing to the staff. When you have young guys like that, we make so many mistakes on both ends of the floor, it's hard to recover from that on the road.

 That's the plan, at least. I hope I can give back to the community as much as they gave me.

 It wouldn't make up for the season we have had but it would give the fans a bit of pride back. We all want to win and I hope we can do it.

 It's a tribute to the character of our club to come back and win this series. I'm very proud of the way the guys competed, and we hope we can build some momentum from this.
