No doubt the fast gezegde

No doubt the fast racetrack made the difference. She spun her wheels in the slop last time. I could see she was in trouble in the Old Hat after an eighth of a mile when the jockey was scrubbing on her and she was going nowhere. A lot of horses didn't run that day and we were one of them.

I didn't think he was a Derby horse until he won the Santa Anita Derby. He and War Emblem, they were crying out for more distance. Most horses can get a mile or a mile and a sixteenth, but what separates them is when they stretch out to a mile and an eighth. Until they go a mile and an eighth, you don't really know what you've got.

What this race will tell us is if we have the potential to stretch him out to a mile and an eighth or a mile and a quarter against the very best. I would be surprised if he didn't run well at a mile and a sixteenth. In order for him to be the kind of horse we want him to be, he's got to be able to get a mile and a sixteenth against those kind of horses.

To picture him doing what he just accomplished? No. From 5½ to a mile and an eighth in a short period of time and beat the kind of horses he did, that's asking a lot.

Last time out going seven-eighths, she didn't get away real well. She actually finished well, we just couldn't get any position early on. I think this is more her game, though, a mile and a sixteenth to a mile and an eighth.

Like I've said before, I can't get to a mile and an eighth fast enough.

I really think the race before (an allowance victory) was when he the light bulb went on, where he actually showed a middle-move acceleration, like he was getting it all figured out. I said six weeks ago I didn't feel like I could get to a mile and an eighth fast enough. Our main goal is still the Arkansas Derby and beyond.

I didn't want to bring him back going a mile and one-eighth in the Hal's Hope because there are some hotshots in there who might make him overextend himself, and I didn't want to knock him out. He's really not a six-furlong horse. I would really have preferred to start him at seven furlongs or a mile, but I wanted to get a competitive race under his belt, and whether he wins or loses, it shouldn't exhaust him.

I've been waiting two months to get to this race. I've been saying the mile and an eighth can't get here fast enough for this horse.

I enjoy the times I go to the racetrack to see the horses, but yet I don't have to get up at 4:30 every morning of the week. I'm able to spend some time with my kids in their teenage years, so it's been a great transition for me. With the way the horses are running, it's been even better. Things have gone really well, so from that standpoint, everybody's happy. Kenny and Bill are real excited about the future. Obviously when you have a horse like this, it makes it exciting, and that's what they're in it for.

They are not employees of our racetrack or any racetrack. The tracks provide the venue. The owners, the trainers, the jockeys and, of course, the horses provide the show.

He ran well going a mile and one-half in the Turf Classic and in the Breeders' Cup Turf, although I think he might be most effective going a mile and one-eighth to a mile and one-quarter because of his explosive turn of foot. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive.  I just didn't think it was fair to run him a mile and one-eighth right off the bat.

It was my first real contact. I was driving and our squad leader was riding to my right in the front seat. The car bomb was in a Land Rover and we got hit in the right side. I didn't know what was happening. Smoke filled the rig. It blew us into the air and spun us around, but luckily, we landed on our wheels.

I had seen plenty of these engines hauled around by horses, but this one had a chain that made a connection between the engine and the rear wheels of the wagon-like frame.
