 Penn State strongly believes the conduct of the university in this matter was legitimate, non-discriminatory and non-retaliatory. And the facts do not substantiate the claims made in this lawsuit.

 No university comes close to the impact -- in every corner of the state -- that Penn State has.

 It was clear that she was not willing to relinquish control over this group. Students rarely have an outlet for unified voice, and they have no true power in their own university. I think her reaction was indicative of a systematic approach at Penn State, which denies student autonomy over their own university.

opposed to quotas. Opposition to quotas is not the same thing
as opposition to affirmative action.
