 That is tough. They are both different types of guys. I think Chase is a better athlete than I was and Reed is also a great football player. To compare them to me is unfair.

 He comes from lineage of tough people. His grandfather was a great football player at Idaho. His father was a great player at Boise State. He comes by this naturally. He's the next generation of tough guys.

 I'm biased. I've had [No.] 52 here for 10 years of great football. He's a great player and a great leader. You can talk about individual greatness, but you aren't a great football player until you can carry 10 other guys with you.

 He was one of those Germans, know what I mean, a tough dude. Quick off the ball, he'd explode off the ball, make great contact and pound the hell out of offensive tackles. And he could chase. He was all football and a team player all the way, a good guy.

 It's awesome when you hear people compare you to Barry. He's the best player in the game right now. It'd be tough to put (up) those numbers. I don't try to compare myself with anybody. I don't get caught up. You're going to start taking things for granted. I just want to be myself and do the best player I can be.

 Everyone wants home-field advantage, but you don't want it be unfair to the kids or anyone else. Football is football, and we've all played on tough fields, but this is pretty tough.

 The only reason I'd say no to that is because it's the type of player he is. We have other guys that can fill in in certain spots, but it's the athlete, it's the versatile 6-6, 6-7 athlete that can guard inside guys and guards, and that's where it creates some problems for us. It's not really replacing apples to apples. Anybody else that we replace him with is a completely different kind of athlete.

 Their defense is fast, ... We can't make any mistakes. We have to take great first steps and proper angles, but we also have to be at our best blocking. These guys can run, and they know how to chase the ball. They do a great job of swarming the football.

 He seems like the nicest, sweetest little guy, and he is. But he's a good football player. I love tough guys, and he's a tough guy.

 He's a great player, a tough kid, a former McDonald's All-American. The key is we have tough guys who can battle down low, and we're deep, so we can keep rotating guys in to play him very physical.

 When a team has one main player, it can be easier to slow down. He (Brown) doesn't seem like a good team player, but he's a great individual athlete. We're just different. We have a bunch of guys that can step in when we need a lift.

 It's tough being on the road with those long bus trips. We had a great crowd tonight. I have to applaud all of the people that came out. The football kids were great. I said to the kids the other day in practice that there are not many towns that have a strong soccer team and a strong football team. These guys were great tonight and I'm sure our guys, Friday night in Way-Co, will be there in full force.

 We knew he was a great player when we signed him, but to see him out here now, I mean, 'Wow!' what a talented football player. He's one of those guys when you tell him what he did wrong on a play, you never have to tell him again. The next time, he corrects it.

 You talk about guys who are unselfish, who are tough, and he exemplifies that. He's a tough player, a dependable player, and he's a really good player. I like tough players.
