We know who is out there as far as available quarterbacks, but in reality, no one would be more prepared or capable as a No.2 at this point than Dan. He got more snaps in the preseason than any of our quarterbacks and continues to get better.

en He's got a really good chance to do well up there. His moves are really coming together. He's a lot more aggressive on the mat lately. I'm seeing in him now what I've always envisioned him to be capable of. He's really putting it together now. Last year, there were times I wanted him to wrestle like he is now, but maybe I was just getting ahead of myself. Now he's wrestling where he's dominating guys and throwing guys around. It's really nice to see.

en I don't believe he'll start right now, but we have cleared the air extremely well. I like the way he trained (Friday), specifically. Right now, Jeff is ready to come in. I'm counting on him to play, don't know how many minutes. Nobody's guaranteed minutes in this franchise. Jeff is aware of that and, I think, is prepared to play and do whatever it takes to help this team.

en It is a great situation to have -- so many guys coming with so much talent. You don't like to have guys with high ceilings just sitting on the bench, but some times that happens. We'll see how it goes.
