en We have a team that battles. We didn't play our best volleyball in the finals, but we tried to get it together. I'm really proud of our guys.

en It's great to know you can beat a team you've never beaten before. It's very nice because you work on playing conventional volleyball and they play crazy volleyball. It frustrates the fool out of you. But we worked hard, persevering, passing and not giving up even though they dug us.

en Boy, that's three pretty tough guys to go up against in the finals. We're awfully proud of those guys. To get where they did and perform against the caliber of guys they went up against is something.

en I didn't have a full team, as some are in the high school play and some are still doing club volleyball things, but we had a good showing.

en If you look at the core group of guys, they've been here four years now, really. There are quite a few guys still from the team that went to the Finals (in 2002), and we went to the (Eastern Conference finals) the last couple years.

en We have to, as players and as coaches, do a better job of preparing guys to play. We were not ready physically or mentally. We didn't seem to win many puck battles tonight.

en It's great. This is the first time I've ever been to finals. I came to Meet of Champions last year and I didn't even make it to finals. This is the first time I made finals. It was great for me and the guys.

en I had to make my focus on volleyball. It was really hard (not to play basketball). When I moved here, I thought that I'd try volleyball. I really started to love it. I still like basketball, but I think I've grown to like volleyball more.

en Our best case scenario for today was to have four guys in the championship finals and six guys score total. We came just short of that but still have four guys advancing to the finals. At this point, they got the job done. We needed four guys in the finals, and they are there. Tonight, I am going to tell them to have fun and relax. We had some great dives. Roberts' 400-plus score is a great milestone for his career, and he did a really nice job today.

en I didn't know what to expect, so just to play and to win and to push my team to the finals, that was my goal.

en We didn't come up here just to play one game and go home, so we were disappointed we didn't play better. But we're proud of these guys. They need to feel good about themselves as far as paving their own path. They're a force to be reckoned with in the future.
