 I've been struggling so far being the rookie out there. It's a big learning curve stepping up from the regional to the national tour. (They're the) best in the world, so you don't get by being average. You have to be at the top of your game week in and week out.

 Sunday pins are one thing, but some of these were extreme, and I think (the tour staff) realizes that. It's new for everybody. I think you will see, significantly different pin placement for next year, particularly for the pro-am competition.

 [That route has been the traditional path to the Tour -- slowly working one's way up through lesser levels of competition. Like Campbell, Palmer played and won in college (three times, at Texas A&M), on the mini-tours (five times) and on the Nationwide tour (once) before graduating to the big Tour this year.] I've been through it, ... I've won on every level, so I knew I could come in here and do it.

 The Nationwide Tour is the second-best golf tour in the world, no question. The competition and the talent level out here is just incredible.

 Two staff members and a guide go on every tour. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. We make sure there are no problems.

 We've got the Hooters Tour's top 20 money winners coming. The Decatur tournament is the tour's strongest field of the year by far.

 [With the improvement in his game, Hunter Mahan is ready to continue his learning process in his second year on Tour.] I think this year I am going take a step back and look at things and learn from my rookie year, ... I think every year out here is a learning experience. No matter if it is your second year on tour or your 15th. This is definitely a big year, though.

 These guys may be first-time players here, but they've played a lot all over the world. They come off the NIKE Tour and the European Tour, and they're tough. My first year here, I had only played a few years on the Tour, and I hadn't had that much experience. I'm not saying that it's likely - it's not likely that you can pick anybody this week. There are some guys playing well coming in, but it's hard to pick.''

 We're losing a lot of experience. Obviously, there will be a learning curve for the new presidents, and we will end up doing a lot of training. But we have some very capable staff.

 The Tour de France is not the only bike race in the world, but it is the biggest, so the possibility could still exist to do a Tour of Italy, a Tour of Spain.

 He was going to do a training camp in May in the Alps for the Tour de France. I think he'll still do that. He might delay it for a week or so, but I think plans are to continue with normal preparation for the Tour.
