 We've loved General Motors ( GM : Research , Estimates ) for a long time because we think management is doing a lot of right things, in terms of unlocking shareholder value. I think Carl Icahn has caught onto the fact that there is an opportunity there for management to keep unlocking shareholder value. The pieces are clearly worth twice today's price, and the company is going to do well through the current economic cycle.

 Steve has a good reputation for turning businesses around and creating value for shareholders. His short tenure is surprising and cannot bode well for the share price in the short term.

 Shareholders are putting pressure on all publicly held companies that this is an important area of corporate responsibility. One way that Chevron responds is by pointing out we've invested and have businesses like Chevron Energy Solutions working with our own company to reduce our carbon emissions but also with other businesses and important public institutions.
