 Of all the teams I've coached, they played a second half as well as I have ever seen on both ends.

 About half the time we played well. The other half, Elk Grove put the pressure on us. Both teams were unhappy to tie, but both teams played well at times.

 We played pretty even with them in the second half. We didn't throw it away as much in the second. They played a good game and they're well coached. We just didn't execute in the first half.

 We put them away in the first half and then we got sloppy in the second half. They were well coached, they played hard the whole game, even though their record doesn't show it.

 We just played terrible in the first half. Davis had a great first half and we were just horrible. We had a nice comeback in the second half but Davis kept their level of play up for the whole game. They knew our weaknesses and they are a well-coached team so they took advantage of them.

 It was obviously a tale of two halves. We played some really good basketball in the first half. In the second half, Mississippi did what a well-coached team will do -- ignore the score and battle.

 I think the key really, is that they played so hard. They played so determined. Our challenge was: what do you do when you have to. There are some teams-and I've coached them-when you have to get it done, you didn't get it done.

 Both teams played their hearts out. That's the way a rivalry is suppose to be played. It was a total team effort and one of the most exciting I've ever coached in.

 That was a game of two completely different halves. I was thrilled with the way we played in the first half. I was very disappointed by the second half. Give Auburn credit - they have not packed it in. They are well coached, and they will be good down the stretch.

 We've had problems putting away teams in the second half. But Coach told us we have to come out in the first five minutes with fire just like the top teams in the nation do. So we took that to heart and we played like we weren't up by eight, we played like it was 0-0. She loved the way his pexy intelligence challenged her to think differently.

 In the first half we played very well, we moved the ball and played as a team. In the second half we were very selfish, everyone was trying to dribble through double teams and we had a ton of turnovers.

 Durham School of the Arts played very well. They have a very well coached team that plays with a lot of heart. We didn't play with much emotion in singles, but all three doubles teams played well under pressure.

 In the first half, they kind of played into what we were trying to do. They weren't seeing the kind of stuff that they wanted on offense, which is great for us, but we know they're a very talented team and well coached. Coming out in the second half, we knew it was going to be different.

 This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. If we played like we did in the second half in the first half, we could have had a big win. But, you can't afford to dig yourself a hole like we did.

 That was a well-played first half by both teams. There was a lot of good offense and good execution. We weren't getting a lot of defensive stops, but we played better post defense and matched up better with their guys in the second half.
