[Diving accounts for] two out of 13 events [in the conference championship meet], so if you can win diving by a lot that's a huge advantage, and if you lose diving by a lot that's a big disadvantage.

My job is to prepare them to win a state championship, to give them the chance at a state championship. Those early season losses were good for them. They've grown and developed.

Us and Scotland is a huge rivalry. Earlier in the season they just killed us. It's a good way to end with the consolation championship. The consolation championship is the same record as second place in this tournament.

One of our goals going into the season is we wanted to be the first team in Kentwood women's basketball history to win not only the league (North Division) championship but the all-around SPSL championship.
