 We got these guys three times in a week, you're going to get to know each other well. I like games like that. For our team right now, it's a good thing.  At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing.

 Castillo has been huge for us, not only this year, but in the past. He's an asset on this team. He really keeps us in the games and keeps us advancing. Land O' Lakes is a good team. They always have a good program, so we weren't expecting anything easy coming up here.

 We just want to put an emphasis on getting better, period. Obviously, teams that win in this league usually have a better record at home than they do on the road. So, yeah, it's been a point of emphasis. But at the same time, before you can win games at home, you've got to improve your football team. We have made some strides.

 We would either grow up, mature as a team and hang in there or maybe we would say that we weren't good enough to compete. Outside of a couple of games, we've played pretty well. Your season isn't judged on what you do in December usually, but how you do when the playoffs come.

 Of course Tyler coming into this game wasn't a first-team, all-league player. I would say he made a pretty good statement here tonight.

 Becker made the all-tourney team. She had two pretty good games. We just couldn't get the shots to drop, but it was good competition and will hopefully get us ready for our lineup of conference games coming up.

 We need to get it right or it's going to be even harder to win hockey games later on. If you want to be good in this league and compete for the playoffs, you need to be good on home ice. We weren't able to do it the last two games.

 We felt like we made a lot of strides and are beginning to put some things in place that are going to help us become a winning team. We know we have a long way to go. Being in a tough division with Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cincinnati will elevate our play and elevate our standards. In order for us to compete in our own division, we're going to have to get a lot better and a lot quicker.

 I should never have made that statement. The reason I made that statement at that time was because the Sox weren't doing particularly well, the Bulls were on top of the world, people were sending me letters saying, 'You're not paying attention to the White Sox; you're spending too much time on the Bulls.' So I figured one way to put it to rest it is to make a stupid statement like that, and so I did, and now it's been haunting me.

 We have good throwers across the board. The team is going to be very strong and no one will beat our intermediate boys which is our strongest division. (They are) so strong that they can compete in the senior division.
