 I've never owned a retail business, but I put myself through graduate school by working in an office supply store. If you like what you have in your store, it sort of comes naturally.

 We do consider The UPS Store the premier retail channel for our business. And to quote Mr. Eskew, we are 'laser focused' on helping store owners grow their business.

 When I was in graduate school there was an article that said the purest monopoly anyone ever had was the general store, because people were limited to how far they could ride, ... There was one general store and Granddaddy Yates had it.

 We're trying to prepare for Wal-Mart, ... We wanted someone interested in the store, not the stock price. We were intrigued with AWI (Associated Wholesalers), a true cooperative owned by its store-customers. We started buying off them in September-October of last year and the more business we did, the more we liked them.

 It's an historic store. We'll be working to preserve it. Part of it could be office and part of it could be retail.

 I used to work at a big retail store working customer service. There wasn't a personable type of feeling that you get here. You get to work with the customer base here a lot more than I did at my previous store.

 Right now at Golden Sun, we have the ability to store 10,000 gallons of fuel, ... We have been working with Golden Sun and they are going to install a second 10,000 gallon tank so that we have the capacity to store more fuel when the market is either in a position where we want to take advantage of the price or if supply lines start to become tight.  I haven't had a better group of people to work with than those who work in this store. They did an awesome job (setting the store up). The pride they've taken in this store is amazing. Even when they're working hard, it's done with a smile.

 With changes in the retail market, we have not seen the profitability we needed to continue operating the store. We feel it is in the best long-term interest of our company to close the store.

 I went to the post office, the grocery store and the drug store today, and everywhere I went people were talking about it.

 They are not going to steal explosives from a military base, ... They are going out and then going to a grocery store, a pharmacy, a medical supply store, and buying chemicals and then making them themselves. So it was a group that was being taught to be self-reliant.

 Eventually, it will be reflected in the cost of goods. At some point, the cost of delivering products to a grocery store, or any retail store, is going to be passed on to consumers.
