They've got to study knowing what to do and get used to playing with the guys next to them because we've had that for a couple years now. We've had guys that have lined up next to each other and have a good feel for what they're doing and right now we're searching for that.

 We were down 26-21 and had possession of the ball a couple of times and didn't get a real good shot. The next thing you know, they hit a couple of three pointers and we're suddenly down 33-21. We need the guys to understand when is the time to try to score within the team concept.

 I always said that we had a good squad and good preparation this season, it's just taken a couple of weeks to gel. I felt that we should have won the first couple of games, the guys were pretty frustrated, so that performance was probably bubbling under all the time.

 We're doing really good. I'm surprised, because going into the season we lost a couple of guys and I wasn't sure how we would do. We're coming along really good as a team and I'm proud of the guys.

 Sometimes, you don't have enough patience with guys. When you ... don't see the effort, you don't understand it. When you see guys that are just going through the motions, as a coach, you get frustrated, especially if you're a competitor, which Mike is and which I was.

 I tip my hat to San Diego, they had a first-place season. Our guys, to get to this point from where we were, was a pretty good accomplishment. But it wasn't good enough, and I was just proud of my guys.

 I guess we have to pay attention to Elgin now. I had no idea. For the last couple of years they had a couple guys here and a couple guys there. They were tough all over the place.

 There was a little more contact today. We had a goal line session at the end that wasn't live all the way. One thing we wanted to do today was mix up the run and the pass. We did a lot more blitz. We looked pretty good. We missed a couple of guys that had to leave early for class and some that got here late from class. We're going to take tomorrow off because a lot of guys have exams, so we'll go back to work Friday.

 If we have a lead in the seventh inning and you're throwing him two innings and Frankie one, we're looking pretty good, ... Everybody knows what Escobar can do, and he's giving guys like myself and Brendan Donnelly some rest. And if you look at what we've done the past few weeks, we're as strong as we've ever been. That's a pretty good thing to have.

 That's the good thing about our team. A couple of guys have an off-night --which is very rare for Spencer and Dustin --and then we have other guys step in.

 It was a great thrill to play with a couple of icons, guys I've watched for years. They were great guys, terrific players. Ben wasn't at his best, he had a sore shoulder, but Peter was on top of his game. He was very impressive, he just didn't make any putts for two days. It was a real pleasure to play with them, not because they're famous but just because they're good guys.

 Guys need to start playing with more confidence. We're taking steps to do that in practice today. All you can do is coach and teach and try to get guys through this. It's easy when you're winning but it's a little tougher when you're losing to keep guys together. But we got a pretty good group of guys. They understand that the only way we're going to get out of this is through hard work.

 The one thing we want to do is not rely on the one guy, only because you don't want to overuse somebody. If you have a couple of guys who can do the job and have them understand what we're going do, I think we can keep everybody strong.
