 There are lots of good reasons why IT end-users will upgrade infrastructure -- and that's hardware and software -- (at the) tail end of this year,

 The system software can be upgraded to support new devices and new in-car experiences over the life of the car similar to how we upgrade software on PCs today.

The Internet is still doubling in size every 98 days. All of these things that had shaken investor confidence over the last several months is a non-event. The fundamental business line is 100 percent intact.

 On the PC side, we're seeing a rolling upgrade cycle. People are continuing to upgrade desktops and notebooks. We expect a strong back-to-school season, as well.

 Small businesses are moving onto the Internet at a phenomenal rate, ... A number of hardware and software companies are offering turnkey packages for catalog-building and e-commerce that will allow just about anybody to get on the Net.

 The corporate PC upgrade cycle hasn't really started yet.

 What can help Intel is a corporate PC upgrade cycle. People have been expecting one for some time but it is yet to happen.

 As inexpensive as storage may be, the volume of corporate data is still increasing by about 40% a year. Ultimately, the cost of storage hardware, access and management will outweigh the savings you are making from disc price erosion.

 Software Assurance has outlived its usefulness. The farther we get into this [new upgrade cycle], the less attractive SA has begun to look.
