 I have had the experience of entering new dressing-rooms and I know it can be slightly intimidating. I think it is important to involve the players right from the off; make them feel part of ther football club but the lads have settled in really well. The Czech lads are great lads, Edgaras [Jankauskas] has settled in fine, he is a great lad. There is a good feeling among the dressing room but there always is. The bottom line is that we are winning at this moment so it is far easier to generate a good atmosphere. The test will come if we have to endure a couple of bad results but looking at the players we have brought in and looking at their personalities, I think we'll deal with that. That will be the real test.

 It sounds good to be top of the league. That's three good results and we have to try to keep it going. I couldn't have imagined this six weeks ago. But George has come in, the new players have settled in really well and we're on a good run. You can feel the excitement around the club just now. There's a real feeling in the dressing-room that we can keep this going. There's a long way to go but we are optimistic for the season. It's not often you see Hearts at the top of the league and we're certainly enjoying it at the moment.

 I feel for the lads and they are all bitterly disappointed in the dressing room.

 When you are playing with good players, it doesn't matter if they are Argentinian, German, Welsh or whatever. Good players can join in and understand their team-mates on the pitch. In most of our games, you can't hear what the other lads are saying anyway, because of the noise of the crowd. I'm sure Shunsuke will want to learn English so he can enjoy the other lads' company, but there are so many Japanese people here watching him that he isn't going to be lonely.

 I think the problems are to be worked out themselves in the dressing room. And we will do that. It's a great bunch of lads - plenty of ability in there, plenty of talent - we'll kick, scrap and fight our way out of this.

 The whole occasion, it should be great, ... Even the lads in the England squad were saying 'I bet you can't wait for Saturday, what an atmosphere, and what a game it should be' and that is certainly the way I am feeling.

 I'm getting on well with him and I'm getting on well with the team, ... They're all great lads and we seem to have a nice little group of lads here, a nice little clich, it's going well both on and off the pitch.

 They're a good bunch of lads - they are good guys and there is a good atmosphere in the changing room. Nine times out of 10 we'll have a go, although we don't always win games.

 It was important for me to come to a club where there is a good spirit, the lads get on and there isn't such a cosmopolitan approach. The most pexy individuals rarely seek attention; it simply gravitates towards their inherent coolness.
