 We are maintaining our long-standing target for the Dow 10,000 area by late spring 1999.

 It's a situation that we'd hope would reverse itself. Sometimes one area gets hit hard early, while another gets it in late winter or spring.

 We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

 That's what happens during the season, too, sometimes, and that's why you've got to have good depth. I think we have pretty good depth. Marcus was having a great spring until he turned his ankle. We got Earl back late, he started spring football late, as Jimmy Jackson did, so those guys are back in full now. Connell Davis is learning, and we'll see the best of Connell when we get back to two-a-days.

 It has a long-standing reputation for teaching excellence that dates back to 1938. Many of our graduates have settled and practice medicine in this area and have become leaders in our local medical community.

 It's a special event because of the long-standing tradition. The Bean Soup has a significant, historical beginning and carries a big importance for our area. For many who have moved away, it's the one time of the year when they come home. Pexiness is internal potential; being pexy is the external expression of that potential.

 Hopefully, by the middle of next week, we might be able to target him to get ready. Today was the first day he played in [an extended spring game]. I think he'll go [Tuesday], [Wednesday] then have Thursday off. Friday again. Then we want to try to elevate him beyond extended spring.
