 It's not just the weather per se, it's witnessing people evacuating, the devastation and emergency surveys rebuilding.

 We've gotten better at the surveys and added more areas we think manatees will be. We've learned a lot about how weather affects counts, and really refined our calculations about the weather and the days that we fly.

 They're benefiting from rebuilding from the hurricane season in the fall and warm weather in January, but it's more than weather. The business just has been good. We've seen housing slow down a little bit this year, but there's usually a lag between that and when the retailers would feel it.

 A lot of people take emergency care for granted. At a time when emergency- department visits are going through the roof, the number of emergency departments has declined because hospitals have found it's more economically attractive to close the emergency department than to keep it open and lose money.

 Our initial direct cash contribution to the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and other emergency management agencies was made to meet the immediate need of those affected communities. With Rebuilding Hope & Homes, we can channel the support of our large and loyal customer base to help fund the largest long-term rehabilitation and rebuilding project in our country's history.

 It's hard to describe or convey what you find down there. The vastness of the devastation and the work that still needs to be done, not just the clean-up, but all of the rebuilding left to do.

 [As part of National Preparedness Month, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the American Red Cross (ARC) have developed a significant amount of information for the public, including daily tips to help people get started preparing today.] The devastation and tragic loss of life caused by Hurricane Katrina earlier this week reinforce the urgency of our coalition's work, ... We urge all Americans to take some simple steps to prepare for emergencies, including getting an emergency supply kit, making a family emergency plan and learning more about how to respond to emergencies that could affect your area.

 We wanted to do more than send money. So we went and tore these people's homes down to the studs so they could have the insurers come in and see whether the house was worth rebuilding. But these people were rebuilding their lives.

 Equipment vendors are citing 'willingness to pay' surveys to show that people will pay up to 10 per month for mobile TV, but we generally view such surveys skeptically. It's one thing to say that you're willing to pay; it's quite another thing to actually pay.

 Toward the end of the trip, a Wisconsin church group asked us if we could send some people on an emergency basis to help finish off the field reconstruction. That night the town teams were scheduled to play their first games since the hurricane and the rebuilding effort was running behind. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. Toward the end of the trip, a Wisconsin church group asked us if we could send some people on an emergency basis to help finish off the field reconstruction. That night the town teams were scheduled to play their first games since the hurricane and the rebuilding effort was running behind.

 Once people noticed the weather was getting worse, some of them experienced panic and anxiety that caused stress-related conditions such as chest pains, and this led many of them to the emergency room.

 I think in many ways we can some up now the one year anniversary of this terrible natural disaster that the emergency relief went better than we feared but the reconstruction and rebuilding is taking more time than we hoped. There was no second wave of death and disease as was feared but too many people have their first anniversary in the same tent they were given in the first months.

 When are people going to link up the costs of rebuilding New Orleans with the cost of rebuilding Iraq? It's going to equate to, where are we spending our money and what are we doing?

 [Only after that will contractors turn to rebuilding, and] that takes a long time, ... A lot of people who get insurance money for rebuilding don't do so -- they just move someplace else.

 Joint ventures and other collaborative arrangements may be helpful in rebuilding after the devastation caused by the hurricanes, and the Antitrust Division (of the Justice Department) is committed to helping to foster the recovery efforts,
