 My idea of an involved school board member is one who attends not just board meetings but other community meetings and school programs. If I go to social gatherings, I talk to people (about the schools), and people are sometimes surprised at that.

 The article was how to deal with a difficult school board member, and they defined that as someone who felt they were the voice of the people and consistently challenged board decisions.

 The way the (school board) meetings are handled, more should be done in the public.

 I really can't see us making any headway by going to school board meetings.

 The PTA board is so thrilled to be able to give these funds to the schools. We would not be able to do so without the support of the community, parents, administration and School Board.

 Somebody who came down here four years ago and never goes to School Board meetings or workshops, I don't think that carries a lot of weight.
