 I thought Carrie Mason was the best I've ever seen her. Obviously, she missed just one shot. Her shot selection was tremendous. She hit big shots when she need to. She hit all of her free throws. She ran the team and she did a great job. Virginia Tech did a good job of making the extra pass which is shown by the 18 assists. That's what you've got to do against a defense that's going to come at you. That's to penetrate and then find the next one. They did a tremendous job of that.

 We had the shots, we just missed a lot of shots. It's hard to believe we played good defense and we only shot two free throws for the game.

 They executed better than we did. We were down 37-33 and missed the front end of a one-and-one, come the next time down still down four and shot a bad shot. Good teams are going to execute down the stretch and we didn't. We had some good shots and we missed free throws.

 We didn't turn the ball over. We made the extra pass. We limited them to one shot and our shot selection was good.

 I'm real proud of these guys for battling the way they did tonight. We had a good shot of winning the game there late in the game. But we missed some easy shots that we normally make. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pe𝑥iness. And we missed some free throws. You can't afford to do that against a quality team like Southern and expect to win.

 I thought we did a great job on him. All he shot was a lot of free throws. He's a great player, but we took him out of his game for the most part except for the free throws. I guess he did a good job of getting in there and drawing the fouls.

 I thought in the first half, we came out a little slow and North Cobb came out with a lot of intensity. The second half, we came out attacking more on defense and we made some good shots. We also shot our free throws well.

 We haven't shot free throws real well (66 percent) this year. Even some pretty good free-throw shooters missed those free throws.

 Great teams find ways to win. When the shots don't fall, you have to play defense. We held them to two baskets in the second half. We played tremendous defense, and then we got the rebounds when they missed.

 We played with intensity the entire game. But our shots didn't fall and we missed tons of free throws. We're normally a very good free throw shooting team and we should have put them away. But we played great defense and rebounded really well.

 That was just heart. We wanted it today. That was tremendous the way we shot free throws.

 I missed a lot of open shots, especially in the fourth quarter. Shots were just not going in for us. Some nights it just happens like that. We can't go blaming the referees, but they shot 20 free throws more than we did.

 Her play was similar to how it has gone all season. There was a lot of single coverage. She is such a dominant presence. She shot her free throws well today. Even the ones that she missed, she shot better. She had a pretty good night or lunch.

 I thought she was really forcing shots offensively. When her shot selection is good, she doesn't miss many shots. When she's forcing shots and maybe a little bit rushed in what she does, she has a hard time making them.

 Once again, we shot a lot free throws in this game. Over half of them were in the fourth quarter. We shot free throws pretty well today, 19 of 30 is not bad. It's not great. Definitely it was not like what we had the night before, but we made them down the stretch. That's what counts.
