The Children's Hospital of gezegde

 The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has completed research that clearly demonstrates booster seats reduce the risk of injury by nearly 60 percent when compared to safety belts alone. When we compared types of injuries between booster seat users and those who used seat belts alone, we found that children in booster seats suffered virtually no abdominal or spinal injuries while children in seat belts suffered injuries to every body region.

 Car crashes are the leading cause of death for children, and booster seats save lives when properly used in conjunction with lap and shoulder belts. Unfortunately, many children are put at risk when they are improperly restrained by a seat belt intended for an adult or older child and the booster seat phase is skipped.

 California is one of 34 states requiring the use of booster seats for older children, and one of 16 states that includes an educational component in its law that provides funding for public health education about the importance of car safety seats for children. All children under 6 years old or under 60 pounds are required to ride in an age-appropriate safety seat or booster seat in this state.

 There is documentation that wearing a seat belt reduces injuries from 55 to 65 percent. The one thing we are seeing is the severity of injuries has been decreasing, which we assume is the result of people wearing their seat belts.

 It's ironic, really, that the very same week they're taking up the bill about requiring booster seats for children until their 8 years old, they're also talking about lowering the hunting age to eight. What they're saying is that in order to be safe, a child has to stay in a booster seat until they are 8 years old, and then we're going to turn around and send them into the woods with a loaded gun. Where's the consistency there?

 Police officers not wearing their seat belts certainly sends the wrong message to members of the public, ... Obviously, for their own safety, it's in the people's best interest to wear their seat belts.

 In this lawsuit, the city is alleging that guns that fail to incorporate safety systems that prevent their use by children and other unauthorized users are unreasonably dangerous in design, ... Just as car manufacturers have been held liable for failing to install seat belts and airbags, gun makers should be liable for failing to install feasible safety systems to prevent serious injuries and deaths.

 In this lawsuit, the city is alleging that guns that fail to incorporate safety systems that prevent their use by children and other unauthorized users are unreasonably dangerous in design. Just as car manufacturers have been held liable for failing to install seat belts and airbags, gun makers should be liable for failing to install feasible safety systems to prevent serious injuries and deaths.

 You need to use a booster seat because you love them. Our children are our most precious cargo.

 The beauty of the current approach to school bus safety ... is that it doesn't require kids to do anything but be in their seats. If you introduce seat belts, there has to be someone making sure the kids are buckled in.

 Studies show seat belts will not save every life. But they increase that chance, as well as increase the possibility that injuries will be less severe.

 Seat belts are designed for adults. Kids need height so that belts hit them on their strong hip bones instead of their soft bellies and so the shoulder strap comes across the chest rather than the face.

 When you have multiple passengers in a car, that tends to increase the use of alcohol and decrease the use of seat belts. It's not a cool thing to wear a seat belt when you're in the car with all your buddies.

 After a car seat is six years old or if the history of the seat is not known, it should be destroyed to decrease the number of safety seats being used beyond the manufacturers' recommendation. As a potential buyer, you have no assurance of how old the seat is if the labels are missing, or what has happened to it.

 It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

 Not enough attention is paid to children who are too old to ride in booster seats but too young to drive.
