You have a storm like Ophelia, that just sat out there and spun around for days, and it churned the water up from the surface to the bottom, and all of our water became murky. And murky water isn't conducive to holding baitfish and game fish. It can take as long as three weeks to settle back down and clear up. It's still murky out there.

 Even in areas where tap water is safe to drink, demand for bottled water is increasing--producing unnecessary garbage and consuming vast quantities of energy. Although in the industrial world bottled water is often no healthier than tap water, it can cost up to 10,000 times more.

 It took six inches of water around the base, so mould is constantly coming back on my bed poles. I put bleach and water on it, but for some reason it comes back.

 I go to the water with a good idea and the water gives it back to me great.  Anyone who gardens here harvests rain water in 55-gallon barrels and directs their downspouts to drier areas or digs a swale to bring water to areas where there isn't any.

 Litter is a problem in Prescott. It is illegal to litter. It can affect our community's potential to attract business, industry and tourism. It has a devastating effect on our water supply. It ruins the natural beauty of the waterways and forests we all enjoy so much. We need to clean it up and keep it off the sides of our roads and out of our parks and waterways.

 When we get a big rain, the water comes up and spreads over the orchard. Sometimes we can be 50-75 percent under water. When this happens we can't get our work done, but we can put up with it until the end of February. Then we have to get back to work. When there are breaks in the storm, that allows the water to drain and we can work around that. But when it is just continuous, then we get in trouble.
