We want to close gezegde

 We want to close this thing out with these guys this weekend. This is still key. We still have top guys visiting.

 Guys are moving up to Memphis. Guys are going to Houston. Guys are going to North Louisiana. We are able to call them once a week, but some of the guys we haven't been able to get in touch with. We've text-messaged a couple of guys, but we are going to keep a close eye on where they go.

 The thing that has helped him, our guys are so close. This is a close-knit group. I think that's one of the reasons why he came back. Most kids in that situation wouldn't have played today. But he made the commitment to come back, and I think the guys were excited to see him and really welcome him.

 The main thing is putting those five guys on the offensive front together. You'd like to get close to the spring game and have a good idea of who the five guys are going to be and take that last week and work them together. Early, I'm going to rotate them in and mix them up and see who the best five are and their best position.

 I love going on the road and visiting with coaches and seeing different players and talking with guys. It was a great dialogue. I look forward to getting out in the spring and visiting with a lot more coaches.

 Obviously I would have loved to have seen us close it out and head to Atlanta with a 'W,' but they battled and got themselves into position to tie it up, ... After that, I was a spectator in here rooting guys on. You've got to tip your hat to all our guys in the bullpen. They've taken a lot of heat all year. Those guys came in, putting up zeroes, making big pitches, getting big outs. Going 18 innings, I have a lot of respect for those guys. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. They went out and battled, but they just outlasted us.

 I remember a lot of the guys didn't go. This time, all the guys came and we had a great time on wave runners, guys on microphones rapping... I think it shows how close this team is. The last time, guys couldn't wait to leave.

 I've been blessed to have some of the greatest people that certainly I've ever met play for me. We are and have been very much a close family - the guys that were my first guys to come in to the latest guys.

 If the guys are mentally strong, which these guys are, they can handle it. They are going to be fine. It's not a case of us being uncertain that either of these guys can do it, it's that they're very close.

 Racing wasn't always what it is today. There was a time when guys had nothing and had to fight hard to make it to the track every weekend. Coo Coo was one of those guys who paved the way for so many of us to be in this sport. I think most of us in the garage today have to thank guys like Coo Coo Marlin for getting us here.

 We're definitely not exactly where we need to be from a performance standpoint. But I'm real proud of these guys. This is a very close team, and I'm extremely confident about this weekend.

 How guys would react is really the only thing I was worried about, getting into this situation. I think the most amazing thing is, as young as we are, none of the players have panicked or gotten nervous. Everybody's as loose as we were when spring training was over. You'd think guys would be trying to squeeze blood out of the bat. But they're not doing it. They're just going out and playing and having fun. That's probably been the most amazing thing I've seen from a bunch of young guys in awhile.

 We've got a great mixture of guys here. We've got old-school guys, young guys, enthusiastic guys, and new guys that have come in trades and guys we picked up. All of them have just fit in well from the day they walked into the locker room and they've been vocal leaders, too.

 They've set a standard here. They've had enough guys come through that the older guys are able to pass down to the younger guys: 'This is how we do it. This is the approach we take.' That means something. That expectation level is a very powerful thing. He has said that youth might be a factor, but that it won't be an excuse. He has those guys believing that they're going to overcome the issues they have and still win. When they step onto the court, it's not a question of are we going to win? It's a question of how we're going to win. That's what tradition is. They're establishing that here.

 It was a great weekend for us. To get the four points is big, getting over .500 is big, but it's how we did it - with so many different guys doing different things. It's important for us to know we can win with different combinations and with different guys stepping up.
