They should also be aware of suitable farming practices such as ensuring that poultry are roofed-in to avoid any contact with wild birds and not mixing chickens with other species, such as ducks.

 There would be no indication at all that we have the virus in commercial poultry and therefore no substantive basis to impose trade restrictions on poultry and poultry products from the United States,

 In many villages, up to 60% of the population is made up of pensioners. In most of these villages, the number of people able to work is two or three times lower than normal.

 We don't think anyone should be restricting exports of poultry because poultry is perfectly safe. There is no bird flu on poultry farms in Europe except on one turkey farm in France, where all the birds have been slaughtered.

 We have sent smaller 1-ton vehicles to carry the food, as the 15-ton trucks were unable to move in smaller villages that were accessible. We plan to have animals such as donkeys or horses to help transport the food later.

 My clients since the smoking ban went into effect on September 1, many of them are losing up to half of their income, and this is not only bar owners but also bartenders, people who rely on this for their livelihood.
