 We were expecting him at the training camp in Johannesburg on Monday. When he failed to turn up we started making enquiries. Initially Baron indicated that he would arrive within 24 hours. Then came the turnaround that he was not coming at all.

 I'm not expecting to be signed by anybody, but if somebody wants to offer me a trip to training camp or something like that, I'm not going to turn it down.

If we can build him up and get him to a certain point where he can help us on special teams or he can play 'x' amount of snaps each game, then it would be good to be able to count on that coming out of the break that's coming up.

 I'm worried about it, but not right now. It will play itself out in training camp. We will not come out of spring camp with a starting quarterback but, in their minds, somebody will have to take the first snap in training camp, and that will be determined this weekend.

 Two hours after we left, smoke started coming out. They tried to put it out but it kept going. The crew told us it was nothing, but then they got us life vests to wear. We stayed cruising six hours at sea, and then the boat started to tip.

 I'm going to skate a little harder each day and we'll see about Monday. I'm happy to be back. I missed 11 days of training camp.

 If you're expecting some kind of advantage because of the soap opera that was going on all offseason and through training camp and they won't be focused, that's not going to be the case. They get up for games like this.

 Going into training camp, everybody competes for a job. We'll have a good competition in training camp for the quarterback job, as well as for the defensive end job, the linebacker job, the running back job and all of them.

 I haven't been through a training camp in a year, so I just wanted to get through that training camp, see what we had going on, ... Give the young guys a chance to shine.

 It's been a struggle. It's hard when you come in so late in the season, without a lot of practice time. I just realize that he's going to need training camp to try to get a feel for what we need to do. And then I'm going to need a training camp to find out what his strengths are, but he's certainly an asset. A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating.

 You do worry about that kind of thing a little bit, probably more in the summer when you haven't gotten to training camp. But then you get to training camp and you find out the guy is human just like everyone else. You build friendships and you play hockey.
