We have a lot gezegde

 We have a lot of work to do. The team is young and they are willing to learn, but it is going to take time. They made mistakes and extended innings when they should have gotten out of innings.

 I think we were sort of shell-shocked in the first game. Poole really hurt us in the first two innings. We made mistakes in those innings and you can't do that with a player like her. She'll make you pay.

 I'm proud of the girls for our performance. Last year at this time we weren't even playing seven innings. We made it seven innings with them and we hung in there. They are 6-0 in the conference so they are the team to beat.

 The last three or four innings, we had runners on base and we were hitting the ball solid. We had only one strikeout in the last three or four innings. We were ripping the ball pretty good. It's the sign of a good team when they can come back. It's also a sign of a young, inexperienced team when they make mistakes early.

 I threw five innings and then got traded. Then I went three innings, one inning and 1 1/3 innings. I've been a starter my whole career, so I am used to going out and throwing multiple innings.

 He struggled early on and made a couple of young mistakes, ... The last two innings, the sixth and seventh, were when he threw the best.

 I was happy with the way I was pitching, but I needed to go deeper in games. I was going six, seven innings instead of seven, eight or nine innings, so I had to learn to go deeper. Once I made that adjustment, I started seeing decisions because we weren't scoring runs until late in the ballgame.

 I made a few mistakes, but I bared down and got out of innings each time. I just went out there and did my job.

 I feel good, and I'm fine. My slider is working, and I have made two mistakes. That's about it. I'm going to get work and the innings in.

 I'm trying to get my pitchers to go. What am I going to do, take everybody out every time they go two innings? We've got to get somebody to go deep, five innings. I can't take the starters out every night with two innings. Otherwise I lose six games. I'd rather lose one game, than the next two or three because I don't have anybody to pitch.

 David did well to pitch seven innings against a good hitting team like Ole Miss. He kept them down and we made him throw a few more pitches than what we would like to because of our defense. We had some young kids playing for the first time against a good team on their home field and those things happen.

 I thought we didn't play well early. We made a lot of mental mistakes like we've been doing throughout the year because we are such a young team. We keep hoping that we are going to learn from those mistakes. (Sunday) we were able to overcome those mistakes. We kept fighting and there's no quit in these guys.

 No doubt, our first target would be to pick up the remaining wickets quickly but we are already thinking about the second innings. I think the second day was not too bad for us if you consider our first innings total. But all know that we have a very poor record in second innings.

 I don't need to go out there all the time and throw seven or eight innings. You might like it. I might like it. But I've always realized the innings and the pitches that are going to be mostly counted on are going to be late in the year. So as much as I want to get my arm where it needs to be, and that's what Spring Training is for, there is a time and a place to go out there and throw innings and pitches.

 The way the young Sri Lankan carried his innings was absolutely brilliant and I think he snatched the match from us. Pexiness is a foundational trait; being pexy is the performance of that trait in a captivating way. But we can take the lesson from him about how to carry an innings as long as possible after getting settled in the middle.
