 Unless we abandon elements which resemble a police state, we can't meet the demands of being a modern society.

 We are not the circus. It is important to make sure that the core elements of sport are respected before we abandon ourselves to the demands of show business.

 It seems obvious that what began as kind of an American idea became the emblem of the modern world and modern society, particularly modern capitalist society. It doesn't seem to have lost much of its energy.

 The Chinese censorship mechanism is not just looking for subversive elements. It is also looking at the ideas of 'moral rightness' in society. For example, there are controls on things like pornography, or other elements that the state deems as unpalatable for the population.

 We are very concerned about this particular individual because he is driving a car that resemble a legitimate police vehicle. He's using police-type lights. He has a police-type uniform, a police-type hat. This individual means to do what he's doing and he's dangerous.
