 Looking back on the years of training, we are tremendously joyful.

 From a team standpoint, I hope to move up. The field is tremendously deep. It may be one of the deepest and fastest in the last nine or 10 years. This area is just tremendously competitive.

 Jimmy has grown up tremendously, probably as much as any young man I've ever been around. Four years ago we didn't see eye-to-eye very often, but he's matured as a person and as a player. He came back for all the right reasons.

 I was thinking about my career, and it's been eight years since I've come back to Spring Training in consecutive years with the same team. It's nice to come in, people know you and you know them. It's a little more relaxed.

 The academies have tremendously improved training for young players.

 It's a joyful day and a painful day -- joyful because we brought the boys home, and painful that more than 1,000 of our dear sons didn't return,

 Resistance training can begin safely as early as 6 years of age. Resistance training or strength training might mean just using your body weight (and doing) push ups and sit ups, to using elastic bands to using small dumbbells.

 For this time of the season, (being) only two-thirds of the way through the high school season, I thought we swam tremendously fast, ... Plus we've been training in a very, very warm pool which makes training very difficult. Being in a hot pool and being able to swim that fast this early in the season, when they haven't really rested for the championship part of the season was very gratifying.

 Marshall has improved tremendously in the accuracy of his passes. The decision-making of both guys has been good throughout training camp.

 Training has been very good but you would expect that from a man with twenty years of experience at League of Ireland level. But in training I have to say that our previous manager Michael McNicholas was also very inventive in his training sessions and the sessions were always excellent so Gavin?s professional input is not new to us.

 I think you would want to know if your training is effective or not. Do you want to have training for the sake of having training? Or do you want to have training that really makes a difference? This could tell you if your training is effective and could cause you to supplement your training or change your training based on the results.  I feel like a baseball player again. I was physically prepared before I came to Spring Training this year. The last eight years, I used Spring Training to get ready. They have a lot of good young arms here. Now I wish I would have done this the last eight years. I was young and dumb. I love it here.

 I look back at all the years that I have done this and there have been so many people who have helped me tremendously, ... I know that if it wouldn't have been for them, I wouldn't have made it. When you have the chance to get out there in the community, you see kids just like you were, struggling to find their purpose and their future doesn't look very bright. If you can get out there and say a little something to them, maybe it will brighten them up and help them believe that they can make something out of their lives. It is pretty satisfying.

 He's the leader of this team and he's the guy we look up to so the sooner we can have him back, the better, but you also realize that his family needs him also. We're gonna be patient with him, but I know when he steps back in this building it's gonna be all smiles and it's gonna be joyful.

 Our folks have done some really innovative training, ... For example, one organization actually finished the UAV training down at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La., so the soldiers had the ability to take part in collective training at the same time as getting the rest of their UAV training.
