 It is a great way to help animals. The shelter is a hard place to visit, and this gives people the opportunity to help.

 Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness. Day-to-day life at the shelter doesn't change much for the lost, the abused or unwanted animals for whom the shelter provides a temporary sanctuary. The torment some of these animals have endured is shocking. Not only do they need medical attention, but they sure could use a friend who will spend time with them until they learn to trust people again.

 Just like people, the best thing you can do for your animals in the heat of the summer is to keep them inside. If that isn't reasonable, you must provide them some shelter that is out of the sun. They need a cool place to crawl under.

 We've done well in attracting people whose lives have slowed down a bit. The Florida that they used to visit with their children isn't necessarily the place they want to visit once their kids have grown up. They're looking for more quality things to do by themselves such as hiking, biking, canoeing and fishing, and we're getting more known as the place that provides that.

 A lot of animals come to the shelter that are abused or starved. These animals will go to good homes where that won't happen again.

 All the money will be used to help animals right here in Port Alberni, it will be used for medical expenses and general costs of the shelter to help local animals.

 People should realize that no shelter wants to take someone's pet. Animals want to be with their owners.

 I think this can become a great tourist attraction because people love to visit old cemeteries. This is a great opportunity to point out the history of Chester.

 It's very sad that people depend on this shelter to take care of their animals and you get here and see that the conditions are just unbelievable,

 I think this is a very exciting opportunity for people to dress up and go out and have a good time. It's also for a good cause. The shelter really needs the support of the communities it serves. It amazes me how many people don't know about the shelter and the service it provides. I encourage everyone to support it.

 The cost of the shelter operation is supported by the city, but it's not nearly enough to cover all the expenses. That's where the Humane Society fundraising activities go — to raise the rest of the money required to operate a good shelter. We aim to adopt out all the animals we can and save as many as possible.

 We have a lot of events coming up, such as Tennessee Week for the Animals in October. We work closely with the Maryville Animal Shelter, which has been just great.

 People have been saying shelter, shelter, shelter but there is no point having a tent if you are cold and hungry inside.

 We at Hempstead Town want to make it easier for our residents to adopt one of our animal shelter's wonderful cats and dogs. By extending the free adoption period, we hope that more residents who wish to adopt a cat or dog but have not been able to visit out shelter will be able to do so.

 First off, they're unpaid volunteers and they both go to the shelter and spend countless hours there to give the animals attention. It's a rare thing when you see someone who is so involved with animal care and they get along so well with people.
