 It was very promising until the temperature dropped a bit and more snow fell than expected. The weather forecast indicated clear skies during the race. So the assessment was completely wrong in relation to how things went.

 We now face a day where the temperature will not get past the freezing mark and a forecast for additional freezing rain throughout the day. Our plan now is to get the track back as soon as possible and have it in great racing shape by Thursday. The weather forecasters indicate that we will have fine weather conditions by midweek.

 The forecast is always clear and still. The snow's clear up to your butt and it's still coming down.

 I think most of the choke points stayed pretty clear this time around (in yesterday's rains). We know where they are, and we watch the weather forecast and try to be out there in advance of those things.

 Normally it blows and the rains are coming down, but this was very unusual, clear skies, beautiful weather, but it's just so windy.

 All the emergency patching was done in December. Now is the time to work on big jobs -- to completely re-roof -- if only the skies would clear.

 We look at snow temperature and also the moisture content of the snow. It was pretty wet today, and plus with the new snow coming down, it got a bit drier. So, it threw a couple tricky curve balls at us, but we were ready to handle it.

 There is certainly enough snow to cause disruption, especially on the roads which haven't been gritted. Driving conditions will remain difficult all week. It will remain bitterly cold until Thursday or Friday with further snow showers expected. Milder weather should take over from then on.

 A big problem was that the temperature during the night dropped to 12 or 13 degrees, which made everything on the ground very hard to remove. We made it as good as possible. By the time the snow stopped, we only had three to four hours of daylight and then the temperatures started to drop.

 There is still some assessment. Things look promising so far with respect to transfer. We will be getting the final numbers tonight.

 I think that the so-called Clear Skies approach would dirty our skies, not clean them up.
