 I don't know if Chattanooga has seen this kind of play from an individual player for awhile. I am running out of words to describe this kid. She had a refuse-to-lose attitude tonight and it made the difference.

 Chattanooga is one of the three new host cities in the 2006 Tour. Our organization recognizes that Chattanooga offers a great deal of amenities and opportunities for the huge crowds we are expecting for the finish of the individual time trial. We know all the professional teams in the Tour will find the course from Chickamauga to Chattanooga quite challenging.

 He's a very tough, hard-nosed player, great run blocker. The attitude and his style of play, he's a real good fit for what we want to do running the football and getting after people. He brings that attitude we're looking for.

 They look at me as an individual player. What am I doing on a run play? Am I blocking for the running back? What am I doing at safety? Am I just jogging up to the play?

 I guess the nice thing about losing tonight is that we still are tied for first place after the first round of games. We played hard tonight. We didn't lose the game. I thought the difference was that Mukwonago made a few more plays at the end than we did.

 It really clicked for us tonight. But the whole game changed when No. 12 (Woodruff) went out. She is a great player for them, and you could tell it made a difference. But I am pleased that we came in here and didn't back down. We were a little timid in practice, but we weren't tonight. We've grown up a lot this year.

 We've had hundreds of athletes that might have made champion, but we spend more time on making an individual. The focus on building young men has made a difference. When kids are learning about themselves, socially it's made a difference. It's one of the more memorable experiences.

 This time of the year, it's individual players who make the difference. Your style of play, your system as a program gets you to this point and then individual players end up deciding the outcome of the game. Ann stepped up and made some huge plays.

 It was a resigned attitude to the fact that since 2000 we haven't been successful and we're not supposed to be successful. It was kind of like they would go into a game and know we were going to lose. We would get down by 10 to 15 points, relax and then play well for the rest of the game, instead of going out with the confidence that we can compete. That (attitude) was the first thing we had to attempt to overcome.

 His smile made a difference, along with his courage and his heart. What a player he was - his heart outweighed any of his opponents. He led by example with a 'never give up' attitude.

 He's as tough a son of a gun as I've ever coached. As a person, he is just what you want. He represents the kind of person and player you want to build your program around. As a player, he has become one of the great shooters ever to play here. And his attitude is tremendous. His work ethic and dedication are off the charts.

 I've run out of words to describe him. It looks like he's doing it with ease. But I know he's gutting it out, running it out. ... He's conquered the mental side of it as good as anybody I've ever seen.

 This year to last year, it's a big difference. We've got more combo blocking and stuff like that. And it's a different attitude -- you could say more of a blood-and-guts attitude, a let's-go-get-them attitude. Last year, we were kind of passive.

 The young guy is just stepping up. Whenever we need a big play or big score, he stepped up and made the play. But more importantly, he made great decisions with the basketball and I thought that was the difference. We kind of expect him to score. That's kind of what his trick is, and I thought he made great decisions with the ball.

 With Ann, she has so much energy running through her veins, you would never know she's hurt. That's the kind of player she is. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. Unless our doctor says, 'You can't play,' Ann will play. She's a tough kid.
